We placed 4 ads on this page: Top (above content), Bottom (directly after content – no interactions from other plugins), in content, and in comments.
Demo Content AD - DESKTOP (Variant A)
Below is a “demo in-content ad unit, with AB testing enabled:
Second most powerful feature is Easy A/B testing of different ad unit sizes / colors / layouts, to determine which ad would work better in the same placement.
Demo Content AD - DESKTOP
To see different variations of ALL ads on this page, just reload the page (Command+R on Mac / Control+R or F5 on PC). Each time you reload a page, a AdSense Ninja will randomly show A or B variant. Approximate display percentage for each variant is about 50%.
Each ad placement AB test runs independent of other units. So you won’t see ALL A or ALL B variants on same page, every time (though it may happen randomly).
Benefit of split testing your ads
By testing Google’s Responsive ad unit VS a fixed size ad in same placement, we were able to increase the RPM (revenue per 1000 page views or simply revenue per site visitor) by 89% for all mobile traffic, and 103% for the entire site.
Evidence was so overwhelming, that we only had to run the test for 5 days!
Easy Mobile Ads!
AdSense Ninja allows to easily show one (bigger) ad for Desktop users, and a different ad for Mobile users, without any custom coding, or knowledge of PHP/JS/HTML!
Simply paste the code for your desktop ad and mobile ad in the appropriate box in the plugin settings panel.
Once you paste your code, the plugin will automatically serve the appropriate version depending on device USER-AGENT, to maximize your Mobile ad revenue, and nor break your website’s design/layout!
Mobile ads are only served on smartphones – iPads / Android tablets display desktop version of your ads.
How to preview mobile ad version?
You can either load this page on your smartphone, or just open “Inspect Element” or Developer Tools in your browser.
For Chrome, Firefox and Safari, use the following method:
Open whatever panel you used last: Command + Option + IF12 or Control + Shift + IOpen the Console panelCommand + Option + JControl + Shift + J
|Action||On MAC||On PC (Windows/Linux)|
In Edge/Internet Explorer, procedure should be very similar. You can always google it.
Once you open Dev Tools, enable “Toggle Mobile Device”, which changes USER-AGENT on the fly, and shows appropriate “device” right in browser window. This works best in Chrome, because the feature works out of the box. Firefox does not have automatic USER-AGENT switcher, and needs separate add-on for this.
To toggle “Mobile Device” in Chrome, open Dev Tools and press Command+Shift+M on Mac (Control+Shift+M on PC) or just click the DEVICE icon in the left top corner of Dev Tools panel (see image below).
In Safari, go to Menu > Developer > User-Agent, and select desired mobile device. I always test for iPhone, but it doesn’t matter, as long as it’s a Smartphone user agent.
Once you have enabled Mobile User Agent in Safari, the page will reload, and you will only see Mobile ads. If you want to see how it looks on the actual mobile device, go to Menu > Developer > Enter Responsive Design Mode. From there you can choose a multitude of iOS device to preview your site/ads, as well as change user agent. Shortcut for this is Command+Option+R on Mac (Alt+Control+R on PC).
